TUG Awarded Contract for Navy Common Data Link Support

SAN DIEGO, CA, September 24, 2015 -- Technology Unlimited Group (TUG) was awarded a contract to provide systems engineering and integration services, software development, maintenance, test and evaluation services, in support of the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific (SSC Pacific) mission to provide full spectrum support of Advanced Navy communications systems including Navy Common Data Link (CDL) systems.  This includes support for systems such as Communications Data Link System (CDLS) and Network Tactical Common Data Link (NTCDL) which interface to Navy and Joint service airborne platforms.

TUG Awarded Contract for CDLS Tech Refresh Software Development & Integration

SAN DIEGO, CA, September 14, 2015 -- Technology Unlimited Group (TUG) was awarded a contract to provide software development and integration in support of the Communications Data Link System Technology Refresh (CDLS-TR) program encompassing the AN/USQ-167A Communications Data Link System (CDLS) and the OL/711-USQ Video Interface Group (VIG) adjunct system.  The principal goal of the CDLS-TR Program is to develop a prototype capable of multiple simultaneous CDL links in support of existing Navy CDL operational requirements.  The scope of TUG’s effort is the development of the software elements of the prototype, specifically the development of Command and Control Processor (CCP) and Video Interface Group (VIG) software configuration items of the CDLS-TR prototype, and integration of the software configuration items with the CDLS-TR hardware.  Subsequent contracts are expected to support the integration of the CDLS-TR system with other shipboard systems.

TUG CDL Matrix Becomes Operational

San Diego, CA, May 15, 2013.  Technology Unlimited Group (TUG) announced that the CDL Matrix is now "live" and fully operational.  The CDL Matrix is a web-enabled, multi-user application designed to support cataloging and interactive examination of CDL waveform specification rules, interoperability profiles and waveform configurations.  Access to the website requires utilization of an approved PKI certification (i.e., CAC card).  The matrix maintains lists of CDL terminal support for various CDL waveform configurations and interoperability profiles.  The CDL Matrix also can maintain a record of the association of various CDL terminals with platforms.  In addition to viewing the data in the database, the tools provided in the CDL Matrix interface allow the user to assess interoperability between CDL terminals.

TUG Annouces Early Deployment of ADS 1.0

San Diego, CA, December 15, 2012 – Technology Unlimited Group (TUG) announces the early deployment of the Assault Direction System (AADS) Alternate Display Software (ADS) software Version 1.0 based on the positive feedback it received during Fleet exercises.  The primary purpose of ADS is to provide a user-friendly situation awareness display, on the Alternate Display Computer (ADC), for AADS operators engaged in conducting and/or monitoring Enhanced Position Location Reporting System (EPLRS) operations aboard naval amphibious ships and landing craft, and in land-based vehicles or command posts. The program provides AADS operators with the capability to track individual EPLRS units by generating a comprehensive situation awareness display of the EPLRS-equipped units using standard military symbols on vector-based world maps. The secondary use of ADS is in a stand-alone mode running on a compatible host computer and connected directly to an EPLRS radio to provide the same user-friendly situation awareness display.

TUG Receives Northrop Grumman 2012 Supplier Excellence Award

Chantilly, VA, November 15, 2012 – Technology Unlimited Group (TUG), an innovative system engineering and software development company, received a Northrop Grumman Information Systems 2012 Supplier Excellence Award.  According to Northrop Grumman, the award recognizes suppliers for outstanding performance and achievement.  Northrop Grumman said TUG met the highest criteria for schedule, management performance and responsiveness, technical performance, financial performance and mission assurance.  There were twenty-six (26) Supplier Excellence awardees selected from the over six thousand (6,000) suppliers.

TUG Team Member Recognized for Outstanding Leadership on the PDD and PSC Transition to AI

SAN DIEGO, CA, December 15, 2011 --Technology Unlimited Group (TUG) team member, Mark Woodworth, has been recognized by the PMW-160 Program Manager for his exceptional provision in spearheading the PSC to Application Integration (AI) Transition process and developing the Application Integration (AI) “Position Description Document.”  

The merging of the PSC/IT21 into the Application Integration Process provides necessary structure and introduces time and cost savings that will benefit the Navy for years to come. Also, the development of the AI Position Description Document elevates the maturity of the AI organization, sets the stage for Continuous Process Improvement and will prove invaluable to both internal and external customers.

Mark’s leadership was critical to the execution of these tasks and TUG is proud to have him as a member of our team.

TUG a part of winning team for SPAWAR Lightning Bolt “Team Excellence” Award

SAN DIEGO, CA, November 14, 2011 -- Technology Unlimited Group employee's Mark Woodworth and Keith Semple are a part of the Application Integration (AI) team that received SPAWAR’s Lightning Bolt Award for Team Excellence. The AI team conducted the first implementation of the PEO C41 Application Integration Process including a “first ever” complete system integration test for the introduction of a new operating system.
